A quantitative electroencephalogram (QEEG), also known as brain mapping, is a non-invasive assessment tool used to measure the electrical (brain wave) activity of the cerebral cortex. The brain wave activity is assessed by highly trained specialists and is analyzed using digital technology to ensure that the data is of the highest quality. The collected data is compared to normative databases, which compare our clients with persons of the same age who have been carefully screened and who are free of symptoms. Information on how a client’s brain differs from a normative population helps the clinician develop appropriate training protocols to correctly train the client’s brain and to decrease his or her symptoms.
